Cornbread Sausage Dressing with Apples & Pecans
Ingredients
- 1 cup pork sausage
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 2 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled
- 1 cup coarsly ground pecans
- 5 cups cornbread, crumbled
- 5 cups biscuits, crumbled
- 2 tsp sage
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 4 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325° F. Grease 9" x 13" baking dish. Cook sausage, onion, and celery in skillet until sausage is brown and vegetables are tender.
- In large mixing bowl, combine sausage, vegetable mixture, and remaining ingredients, stirring gently. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish. Bake 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown.
